Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and oversee a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. Duties include installing and repairing electrical systems, reading blueprints, and learning across divisions such as low voltage and fire alarm.

The role requires strong conduit installation skills, ability to layout and size components, and a commitment to safety and teamwork on projects across commercial and industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of electrical construction experience.
• Own toolset per company policy and able to use them.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.
• Demonstrate a team-player mentality and safety-first approach.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and conductors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuiting and read project specs, blueprints, schematics.
• Layout small work areas from drawings, including underground layouts.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing; troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
