Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially leading a small crew and expanding skills across divisions like low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm.

The role focuses on installing conduit, wiring devices, reading schematics, and mentoring helpers on site, with a 5–7 year background in commercial/industrial electrical construction.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical construction in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.
• Demonstrates teamwork and safety-first mindset.
• Aptitude to learn across divisions and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, branch circuit and feeder conductors.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuiting.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
