Upper Peninsula Power Company is hiring an Electric Distribution Lineworker in Munising, Michigan. The role involves building, operating, maintaining and dismantling distribution and transmission lines across voltage levels, under supervision, with opportunities to learn and grow.

You will join a team focused on safety, reliability and service to customers. The job requires completing a 4-year lineworker/apprentice program or Journeyman status, CDL-A with air brakes within 4 months, and

Qualifications

• Must have completed a 4-year accredited or certified lineworker/apprentice program.
• Journeyman status or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution, safety rules and codes.
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsements within 4 months of hire.
• Operate heavy equipment (tracked vehicles, trenchers, backhoes).
• Willingness to travel and be on-call; overtime as needed.
• Must reside within 30 road miles of the assigned work location.

Responsibilities

• Construct, operate, maintain, and dismantle distribution and transmission lines across all voltage levels.
• Follow safety rules, procedures and standards for electric distribution work.
• Travel to job sites and be available for after-hours callouts.
• Collaborate with team to meet performance goals and deadlines.
