Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

These vehicles’ propulsion systems include diesel, gasoline, and alternative technologies in some locations. Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including varying schedules, and possess the required hand tools.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and PCs.
• Full set of personal hand tools.
• CDL Class A/B preferred.
• Dependable with regular, timely attendance.
• Willing to work varying shifts.
• Ability to work in noisy, variable environments.

Responsibilities

• Meets DOT requirements for the job.
• Bends, stoops, kneels, climbs ladders and stairs as needed.
• Sits infrequently, as required.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions.
• Uses power and pneumatic tools.
