Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join the fleet maintenance team. The technician will service a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty on‑road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. Requirements include active driver’s license and flexibility for 2nd or 3rd shifts; candidates must provide their own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience is required.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and a personal computer.
• Possesses a full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL is preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work regularly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the workday.
• Sits infrequently as required throughout the workday.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to complete tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
