Springer Nature is seeking a Publishing Assistant for the Medicine & Life Sciences Springer Journals Group in a hybrid role based in New York or Philadelphia. You will support editors, society partners, and authors, handling administrative tasks and contributing to journal performance analyses.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with publishing workflows.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in academic publishing preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent writing skills for reports, presentations, and correspondence.
• Solid understanding of scholarly publishing and research concepts.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive problem-solver with process improvement mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a key contact for Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board members with a customer-focused approach.
• Support annual journal targets for submissions, publications, and turnaround times.
• Handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with professional communication.
• Prepare materials for team reports, conferences, and Editorial Board meetings.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of journal reports and project milestones.
• Analyze and report on key publishing metrics and journal performance.
• Coordinate editorial and publishing projects under Publishing Editors.
• Maintain data accuracy in publishing systems and workflows.
• Collaborate across Editorial, Production, Marketing, and Conferences teams.
