Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Joining & Additive Materials Engineer in Indianapolis, IN with a hybrid pattern. This role leads development of joining and additive technologies, coordinating across design, materials, manufacturing, and repair teams to advance propulsion components.

You will work with global technology centers and university partners, shaping process strategies, analyzing materials performance, and driving capabilities while meeting cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related degree with 2+ years experience in materials joining and additive processes.
• Master's degree in Welding Engineering or related degree, OR
• JD/PhD
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of joining and additive technologies across a global team of engineers.
• Implement global technology strategies for joining and additive processes.
• Develop joining and additive solutions to meet application requirements.
• Engage with global tech centers, universities, and public-private partners to deliver strategic priorities.
• Mentor and train the next generation of technologists.
