Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis is seeking a Joining & Additive Materials Engineer to lead development of advanced joining and additive manufacturing technologies. You will work in a cross‑functional team, partner with global engineering groups, and drive innovation across engine components.

Role requires travel and strong collaboration with external centers and industry partners. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of joining and additive processes, with a track record of delivering

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or related field with 2+ years in joining/additive processes.
Advanced degree (Master/JD/PhD) qualifies for alternative eligibility.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.

Responsibilities

Lead development of novel joining and additive technologies across a global team.
Implement global technology strategies for joining and additive processes.
Develop solutions to meet application-specific requirements and drive process improvements.
Engage with global centers, universities, and industry partners to support strategic priorities.
Develop and mentor the next generation of technologists.
