Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Automation Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This early-career role focuses on automation and digital manufacturing technologies, working hands-on with equipment and collaborating with engineers to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; 1+ years experience
Willingness to work hands-on with manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
Early career engineer with interest in automation and manufacturing technology.

Responsibilities

Support development and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
Define automation and equipment requirements for new/upgraded systems.
Assist with automation projects including controls, robotics, sensors, and data collection.
Install, commission, troubleshoot, and validate equipment with teams.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation and validation records.
Integrate equipment with plant networks and digital manufacturing systems.
Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improved performance.
Ensure compliance with Rolls-Royce processes and health & safety standards.
