Job summary

Meadowlark Employment Services (a division of The DPI Group) is seeking a Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Columbia/Clatsop County area. You will partner with clients and employers to build confidence, remove barriers, and place the right supports in a collaborative, mission-minded team.

This is a community-based role requiring regular driving to workplaces throughout Columbia and Clatsop Counties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
Ability to pass a background check.
Experience with individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment preferred.
Experience in customer service, sales, human services, or job coaching preferred.
Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote coaching to help clients learn job tasks, workplace expectations, and soft skills.
Develop support plans and gradually reduce supports as clients gain independence and confidence.
Communicate regularly with employers, supervisors, and the Senior Job Developer to resolve workplace issues.
Support clients in self-advocacy and in addressing barriers such as transportation, scheduling, and workplace accommodations.
Maintain accurate, timely job coaching notes and service documentation.
Track and report on client progress.
Participate in team meetings and complete required ongoing trainings.
