Job summary

Hands of Heartland is seeking a compassionate Job Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Council Bluffs, IA. This part-time role involves on-site work, guiding clients on the job, and communicating with employers to establish natural supports. Training and ongoing supervision are provided to help you succeed.

Hours are flexible, including some evenings and weekends. Starting pay is $18.50/hour, with higher rates for experience or CNA credentials, plus incentives.

Hands of Heartland is looking for dependable and compassionate individuals to provide job coaching to people with developmental disabilities inCouncil Bluffs, IA.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of job settings to ensure they have meaningful employment. As a Job Coach you will assist individuals on the job and communicate with employers in a professional manner. Collaborate with employer to create natural supports on the job. Support the individual with training. Advocate for the individual on work related issues.

Hours: Flexibility required with availability of days, evenings, and some weekends required. Flexibility is a must as hours are based on the individual's needs.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred although not required. We will train you!

Pay: Starting pay is $18.50/hour. We pay more for experience and CNA license. Incentives also available. NEW! We now offer for anyone with an active CNA license to earn CEUs while working as a DSP (thanks to the Nebraska CNA bill we helped champion!)
