Job summary

Hands Of Heartland Inc in Lincoln, NE is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities in diverse job settings. You will work on-site with participants, helping them access meaningful employment and engage with employers in a professional manner.

Hands of Heartland is looking for dependable and compassionate individuals to provide job coaching to people with developmental disabilities inLincoln, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of job settings to ensure they have meaningful employment. As a Job Coach you will assist individuals on the job and communicate with employers in a professional manner.

Collaborate with employer to create natural supports on the job. Support the individual with training. Advocate for the individual on work related issues.

Hours: We are hiring for daytime hours from 8am-5pm. We are also hiring for evenings and weekends. Flexible scheduling available for evenings and weekends as hours are based on the individual's needs.

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred although not required. We will train you!

Pay: Starting pay is $18/hour. We pay more for experience and CNA license. Incentives also available. NEW! We now offer for anyone with an active CNA license to earn CEUs while working as a DSP (thanks to the Nebraska CNA bill we helped champion!)
