Job summary

Hands of Heartland is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in Lincoln, NE. This part-time role supports clients on the job, coordinates with employers, and helps create natural supports to promote meaningful employment.

You will train participants, document progress, and advocate for their needs while maintaining professional communication with supervisors and staff. Flexible daytime hours 8am-5pm, with evenings and weekends possible as needs arise.

Hands of Heartland is looking for dependable and compassionate individuals to provide job coaching to people with developmental disabilities in Lincoln, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of job settings to ensure they have meaningful employment. As a Job Coach you will assist individuals on the job and communicate with employers in a professional manner. Collaborate with employer to create natural supports on the job. Support the individual with training. Advocate for the individual on work related issues.

Hours: We are hiring for daytime hours from 8am-5pm. We are also hiring for evenings and weekends. Flexible scheduling available for evenings and weekends as hours are based on the individual's needs.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred although not required. We will train you!

Pay: Starting pay is $18/hour. We pay more for experience and CNA license. Incentives also available. NEW! We now offer for anyone with an active CNA license to earn CEUs while working as a DSP (thanks to the Nebraska CNA bill we helped champion!)
