Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Branford, CT is seeking a Sandblast Operator for 1st or 2nd shift to blast jet engine components. You will set up and operate manual and automatic grit blasting machines, applying various techniques and materials while protecting parts and documenting processes.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with a $1.25 per hour shift differential on the second shift and a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and write in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
• Export-controlled data access restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for each job to ensure requirements are met.
• Set up and operate manual/automatic grit blasting machines.
• Inspect parts for proper masking and placement in fixtures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and complete paperwork.
• Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
