Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Branford, CT is seeking a Sandblast Operator for 1st shift (6:30am-3:00pm) or 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). You will set up and operate grit blasting machines to finish jet engine components, following precise instructions.

Training is provided in-house, with focus on quality and safety. Responsibilities include inspecting parts, maintaining correct grit and PSI settings, and completing required paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and write in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Export-controlled data compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for each job to ensure product requirements.
• Set up and operate grit blasting machines (manual and automatic).
• Inspect parts for proper masking and placement in fixtures.
• Monitor nozzle performance and sandblast parameters.
• Record documentation such as routers and daily logs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
