Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is hiring for a Masker Trainee - 1st Shift to perform masking on blades, vanes and parts from OEM customers. This on-site role requires following detailed work instructions and maintaining safety and quality in a shop environment.

The position offers a starting hourly rate of $22.00 with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external hires, along with comprehensive benefits from day one. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Read and write in English and follow written instructions.
• Strong math skills for measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to read work instructions, routers, and manuals.
• Maintain organized records and reports per procedures.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as directed.

Responsibilities

• Perform masking with tapes, waxes, liquids, powders, and fixtures per job instructions.
• Dry masking using powder, cups and a dry press to protect areas.
• Follow internal routers and work instructions as needed.
• Use tools to apply masking with precision and timeliness.
• Prepare materials and document work in routers and records.
• Ensure proper masking for hazardous waste containerization and housekeeping.
