Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center is seeking a Mechanic to overhaul, repair, and assemble advanced jet engines. Working in a hands-on, team-driven environment, you will apply mechanical expertise to restore engines to peak performance, safety, and reliability.

This is a Weekend position: Friday – Sunday 6:30am – 7:00 pm. You will contribute to turbine engine maintenance and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A&P license or Powerplant certificate preferred.
  • Experience in aviation engine overhaul and repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member on turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance per work instructions and data.
  • Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble/disassemble and test a jet engine.
  • Ensure assembly/disassembly complies with instructions and undergoes required inspections.
  • Meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives throughout all phases.
