Job summary

Jasper Electric Motors seeks a skilled Machinist to operate manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines at our Jasper, Indiana facility. You will set up and run a range of machine tools to produce precision parts and may fabricate or repair components as needed.

The role requires attention to measurements, tooling, and process standards, with on-site work Monday–Friday 6:00am–4:00pm and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Operate manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines.
• Set up tools and fixtures to produce precision parts.
• Fabricate or repair mechanical components and maintain machines.

Job Description:Jasper Electric Motor MachinistLocation: Jasper, IN733 W Division Rd #9711, Jasper IN 47546Job Overview: At Jasper Electric Motors the Machinist is responsible for operating manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines. Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Include precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines while applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
