Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks an Operational Business Systems Analyst with 3+ years of JD Edwards experience to optimize manufacturing and distribution processes.

You will translate business needs into JD Edwards solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive improvements across the ERP landscape. On-site in Shelby Township or Westland, MI with weekly travel between locations; relocation assistance is available for non-local USA candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an ERP Business Systems Analyst or similar role supporting JD Edwards
• Strong hands-on knowledge of JD Edwards, esp. manufacturing/distribution modules
• Understanding of JD Edwards within a broader technology environment (config, customizations, integrations)
• Proven problem-solving skills turning complex requirements into practical solutions
• Experience planning, managing, and delivering projects with scope, timelines, and priorities
• Strong communicator able to work with a global team across functions and locations
• Relationship builder able to work with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Leadership, and external vendors
• Self-directed and organized, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize requirements, and document test cases and acceptance criteria
• Develop understanding of manufacturing, distribution, inventory, planning, and supply chain processes
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and system utilization; measure results with KPIs
• Design practical JDE solutions with ERP development teams to address business needs
• Provide hands-on support and training to drive adoption of JD Edwards
• Lead JD Edwards projects from requirements through implementation, tracking scope, budget, and timelines
• Keep documentation and data quality current; ensure JD Edwards data is accurate and standardized
• Stay current with JD Edwards releases and best practices; identify value-adding capabilities
• Support security and compliance, change management, and outage tracking
• Serve as JDE SME for manufacturing and distribution across teams to align priorities
