Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to transform legacy systems into modern Java-based solutions within a microservices setup. You will analyze COBOL and mainframe components and implement updates across the UI, service layer, and database.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, cloud-native capabilities, and collaboration with teams. Some DoD-related experience and on-site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in software development.
• Clearance: Secret and IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive or Tier 3.
• Experience translating legacy systems to modern languages (Java).
• Comfort with COBOL and mainframe modernization is a strong plus.
• Experience with DoD-like government contracting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate legacy code to Java within a microservices architecture.
• Refactor and analyze legacy COBOL/ASM/JCL for modernization.
• Develop and integrate UI, service layer, and modern database.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native capabilities.
• Support on-site collaboration and periodic Columbus, OH meetings.
