Diné Development Corporation in the United States seeks a Java Full Stack Developer to design and build software, translating legacy mainframe code to modern Java within a microservices architecture for pre-production efforts.

The role requires deep Java expertise; responsibilities include refactoring COBOL/ASM/JCL, leveraging AI/ML tools, integrating UI, service layer, and modern databases, and contributing in CI/CD pipelines. Travel to Columbus, OH for on-site meetings is expected monthly.

Qualifications

• Five years of Java full-stack experience.
• BS in CS or related field preferred; equivalent additional relevant experience acceptable.
• Secret clearance required; IT-II Non-Critical or Tier 3 at proposal.
• Oracle Certified Professional or Java SE certification required.
• Experience converting mainframe systems to modern Java is a differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Translate legacy code to Java within microservices architecture.
• Update static analysis of legacy COBOL/ASM/JCL to identify issues.
• Leverage AI/ML tools to translate legacy code where appropriate.
• Optimize translated code within microservices architecture.
• Develop new software and modernize UI, service layer, and database.
• Implement code in CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native capabilities.
• Support batch and real-time processing and data ingestion.
• Perform feasibility analysis for potential future projects.
• On-site travel to Columbus, OH for monthly meetings.
