Job summary

Pluribus Digital is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver modern software solutions as part of a legacy modernization effort. You will work on full‑stack development across backend and frontend, transitioning monoliths to cloud-ready services, and collaborating with product owners in an Agile setting.

Required are 5+ years of experience, Java with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Angular/TypeScript, and strong SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development as an individual contributor.
• Java expertise with strong Spring Boot experience.
• Experience building RESTful APIs; proficient with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with Angular (v2+) and TypeScript for frontend-backend integration.
• Relational DB skills with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle (SQL, schema design).
• Proficiency with Git and Jira; strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Strong code review, quality practices, and coaching ability.
• Proven problem-solving, proactive risk identification, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-quality backend and frontend components.
• Build APIs, business logic, data access layers, and user interfaces.
• Refactor legacy functionality and write tests to support safe delivery.
• Refactor legacy Java applications (Struts/JBoss) into Spring Boot services; modularize systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot; implement data access with Hibernate/JPA.
• Build and maintain React applications using TypeScript; ensure secure backend integration.
• Apply authentication/authorization using IAM solutions (e.g., Keycloak) and RBAC.
• Build with CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and production readiness; support DevOps.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and documentation; promote knowledge sharing.
