Job summary

JFC Staffing Companies is seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer for a permanent remote role in the United States. You will modernize legacy systems, enhance web architecture, and lead critical upgrades in a collaborative environment.

The position requires 5+ years of development experience, strong Java (EE/Core), REST API skills, and expertise with PostgreSQL/SQL/DB2. Remote work with optional onsite collaboration is offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and manage multiple projects autonomously or in a team.
• Strong front-end: JavaScript, HTML, CSS with relational DB expertise (PostgreSQL, SQL, DB2).
• Deep proficiency in Java EE, Core Java (8+ to 21+), and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience administering Linux server environments.
• Familiarity with design patterns, security protocols, and engineering best practices.
• Professional exposure to HCL DX and IBM WebSphere.
• 5+ years of professional development experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, write, and optimize clean, maintainable code across front-end and back-end stack.
• Architect, design, and scale high-performance web applications with strong UX.
• Modernize and refactor legacy code to improve system performance.
• Build, manage, and support APIs, databases, and server logic for data pipelines.
• Implement robust data protection, authentication, and authorization standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade server infrastructure.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce high-quality standards with the team.
• Drive website improvements including billing and user feedback interfaces.
