Hastings Direct is seeking a talented IT Developer to join our CIO IT team in a dynamic, policy administration and claims environment. You will design, code and test features for core systems, implementing regulatory changes and integrating new suppliers, with training on Guidewire to support delivery.

Work in an agile setting, collaborate with stakeholders, perform unit testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of our workflows. Hybrid working model and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years practical experience developing enterprise applications in an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Write and modify software to agreed standards with direction from experienced team members.
• Conduct testing and debugging of code, correct errors, and re-test to ensure high quality.
• Document work per internal standards with unit test coverage and participate in code reviews.
• Communicate effectively with the team, participate in scrum meetings and design reviews.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills and relational database interpretation for impact analysis.
