Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cincinnati or Dallas teams. You will configure and extend our core insurance platform components, including policy lifecycle workflows, rules, forms, and integrations with external services like rating and claims vendors.

You will collaborate with product, QA, and integration teams to deliver compliant, scalable insurance products while focusing on maintainability, performance, and quality releases. A hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring or extending enterprise or policy administration platforms.
• Design and implement APIs and integrations.
• Proficiency with SQL Server and data modeling.
• Familiarity with XML/XSLT used for document generation.

Responsibilities

• Configure insurance product models and rules using platform tools.
• Develop, test, and optimize underwriting logic and pricing calculations.
• Design and implement integrations between core platform and external systems.
• mentor junior team members and participate in code/configuration reviews.
