Job summary

Hastings Insurance is seeking an Integration Developer to build, enhance, and support core APIs and microservices that connect our Property & Casualty systems. You will work with senior developers to ensure reliable data flows across the enterprise while modernizing our technology footprint.

This mid-level role focuses on backend C# fundamentals, modern .NET, containerized deployments, and AI-assisted development workflows to improve daily productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on backend software development experience focused on API development, C#, and relational databases.
• Solid working knowledge of C# and modern .NET frameworks like .NET 8/10.
• Familiarity with microservice concepts, RESTful API design, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Experience with containerized deployments and DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy maintainable microservices and REST APIs connecting core P&C applications.
• Modernize architecture by expanding decoupled backend services and containerized deployment practices.
• Support system reliability by troubleshooting and enhancing integration workflows for performance and data integrity.
• Adopt modern tooling, including AI-assisted development to improve coding quality and productivity.
• Translate requirements into technical specs, participate in code reviews, and provide development estimates.
