Job summary

Related Management Company (RMC) seeks a dependable Janitor/Porter to maintain cleanliness across lobby, corridors, and restrooms at One Back Bay and Arlington in Boston. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports snow removal, landscaping and general upkeep.

You will work a schedule that includes Tue 2pm–10:30pm and Wed–Sat 7am–3:30pm, with Sundays and Mondays off. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability and more; a 401(k) plan; PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of janitor/cleaner/porter experience.
• Must be reliable and able to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Strong team player with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Light maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum, garbage removal).
• Light maintenance may be assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• General upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Work Schedule is:

Tuesday: 2pm- 10:30pm

Wednesday- Saturday: 7am - 3:30pm

Sinday and Monday: OFF

The Janitor/Porter will be working directly under the Maintenance Manager at One Back Bay and Arlington in Boston. The Janitor/Porter responsibilities include:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum, and garbage removal)
• Light maintenance may be assigned
• Provide excellent customer service to residents
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Snow removal and landscaping
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Special projects as assigned
