Job summary

Related Management Company (RMC) is hiring a Janitor/Porter for Long Island City, NY. You will clean lobbies, hallways, restrooms and common areas, perform light maintenance, and assist residents with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing eight hours, and flexibility in shift coverage. The position emphasizes on-site responsibilities, strong time management, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while supporting building

Qualifications

• 1–2 years prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience.
• Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals.
• Team player able to work with little supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms.
• Light maintenance may be assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• General upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Snow removal and landscaping.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Special projects as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Friday – Monday: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Tuesday OFF

Wednesday: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Thursday OFF

The Janitor/Porter will be working in Long Island City, NY. The Janitor/Porter responsibilities include:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum and garbage removal)
• Light maintenance may be assigned
• Provide excellent customer service to residents
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds
• Snow removal and landscaping
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Special projects as assigned
