Job summary

Related Management Company is seeking a reliable porter to keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll support the building from the ground up, inside and out, by maintaining common areas, assisting with move-ins, and upholding high standards.

This role requires a strong work ethic, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfort working outdoors in all seasons. Schedule includes weekend evenings in Boston, MA. Salary is $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and a helpful attitude.
• Experience in janitorial, porter, or cleaning roles is a plus.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift.
• High attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grounds & Common Areas: Sweep sidewalks, lobbies, and hallways; empty trash; respond to spills and hazards.
• Cleaning & Detailing: Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork; deep clean as needed.
• Building Maintenance Support: Clean stairwells and service areas; change light bulbs; log tasks.
• Special Projects & Events: Set up/clean shared spaces; assist with logistics and cleanup for events.
• Sustainability & Safety: Keep areas clean, support recycling; participate in team meetings.

You’ll support the building from the ground up—inside and out—by keeping common areas clean, assisting with move-ins, and helping maintain our high standards. You’ll support the building from the ground up—inside and out—by keeping common areas clean, assisting with move-ins, and helping maintain our high standards. Schedule

• Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: 3 pm-11:30 pm

What You’ll Do:

Grounds & Common Areas

• Sweep sidewalks, terraces, lobbies, and hallways
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
• Respond quickly to spills, weather-related messes, or other safety hazards

Cleaning & Detailing

• Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork
• Deep clean as needed (carpet cleaning, grout scrubbing, waxing floors)
• Maintain the laundry room, fitness center, and management offices
• Report any damage or safety issues to the Resident Manager

Building Maintenance Support

• Clean stairwells, service areas, and the compactor room
• Change light bulbs and help prepare units for new residents
• Use building systems to log tasks and report ongoing issues

Special Projects & Events

• Help set up and clean shared spaces like lounges, rooftops, and gyms
• Support building events and gatherings by helping with logistics and cleanup
• Keep shared spaces looking welcoming and refreshed

Sustainability & Safety

• Keep elevators, trash rooms, and amenity areas clean and odor-free
• Support recycling and compost programs
• Perform scent and cleanliness checks to ensure the building feels fresh
• Participate in team meetings and be open to cross-training

Compensation:

• $19.00 / hour
