Job summary

Related Management Company (RMC) is seeking a reliable Porter to keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming. You will maintain common areas, assist with move-ins, and support building operations from inside to outside. A strong team player with time-management skills is essential.

Schedule varies daily; compensation is $30.77 per hour with 32BJ benefits. Prior janitor/porter experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience.
• Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals.
• Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and assist with move-ins.
• Support front desk during concierge breaks and monitor during deliveries.
• Cover building grounds, service areas, and trash/recycling tasks.
• Report damage or safety issues to the Resident Manager.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks and log issues in building systems.
• Help set up lounges, rooftops, and gym spaces for events.

You’ll support the building from the ground up—inside and out—by keeping common areas clean, assisting with move-ins, and helping maintain our high standards. Responsibilities

Temporary Janitor

Work Schedule is:

• Monday: 6.30am - 3pm.
• Tuesday and Wednesday: 2.30pm - 11pm.
• Thursday and Friday: 10.30pm - 7am.
• Saturday and Sunday: OFF

Grounds & Common Areas

• Sweep sidewalks, terraces, lobbies, and hallways
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
• Respond quickly to spills, weather-related messes, or other safety hazards

Cleaning & Detailing

• Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork
• Deep clean as needed (carpet cleaning, grout scrubbing, waxing floors)
• Maintain the laundry room, fitness center, and management offices
• Report any damage or safety issues to the Resident Manager

Building Maintenance Support

• Clean stairwells, service areas, and the compactor room
• Change light bulbs and help prepare units for new residents
• Use building systems to log tasks and report ongoing issues

Resident & Concierge Support

• Cover the front desk during concierge breaks
• Monitor service doors during move-ins and deliveries
• Assist with unit inspections and ensure spaces look great for tours

Special Projects & Events

• Help set up and clean shared spaces like lounges, rooftops, and gyms
• Support building events and gatherings by helping with logistics and cleanup
• Keep shared spaces looking welcoming and refreshed

Sustainability & Safety

• Keep elevators, trash rooms, and amenity areas clean and odor-free
• Support recycling and compost programs
• Perform scent and cleanliness checks to ensure the building feels fresh
• Participate in team meetings and be open to cross-training
