Job summary

ASL in Temecula is seeking a qualified janitor/cleaner to join our on-call team. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness to high standards and handle routine cleaning tasks across the facility in Temecula, CA.

You will work under supervision of the Project Manager or designee and must be able to pass background checks and a drug test. The position requires 1 year of housekeeping experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and understand English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in housekeeping/sanitation or related work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow all rules and regulations for entering and leaving the building.
• Perform cleaning tasks: empty wastebaskets, clean and disinfect water fountain, replenish supplies.
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors; wipe window blinds and sills.
• Interior windows, shampoo carpets, high dust and clean.
• Follow procedures for handling and mixing cleaning chemicals.

Works under the supervision of the Project Manager or designee with 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks. Candidates shouldbequalified janitors/cleaners with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

The pay rate for this position is $20.00/hour + $5.09/hour H&W.

This position will service the Temecula location. The ideal candidate will live in that area.

Please note, this is an on-call position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The employee will follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
• Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and shall be free of communicable diseases.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
• Must be able to use equipment such as ladders
• Will report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, such as dead lights, leaking faucets, toilet stoppage, etc.
• Basic cleaning tasks to include but are not limited to the following:
• Empty & Clean Wastebaskets
• Clean, Disinfect & Polish Water Fountain
• Replenish Supplies
• Spot Cleaning
• Vacuum all Carpets
• Sweep & Mop all Hard Floors
• Wipe Clean All Window Blinds and Sills
• Interior Windows
• Shampoo Carpets
• High Dust & Clean
• Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals

• Must have 1 year of experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to pass background checks & drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
