Job summary

Ahtna, Inc. is seeking an On-Call janitorial worker to support facilities across Kentucky. Under supervision of the Project Manager or Supervisor, you will maintain 95% cleanliness, conduct floor care, dusting, trash removal, and report maintenance issues.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, ability to travel locally, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests. This on-call position pays $23.76/hr plus $5.20/hr H&W.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship may be required.
• Must possess skills to read, write and comprehend English.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of current automobile insurance and the ability to travel to local facilities.
• Ability to pass a background check and or Govt. security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background screen, and drug test.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to demonstrates good customer relation’s skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep/dust mop uncarpeted floors.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs.
• Spray clean and buff floors.
• Wet mop.
• Deep clean carpets and rugs.
• Clean under raised floors.
• Responsible for trash removal and cleaning of containers.
• Assures that all areas are cleaned as per daily schedule.
• Must respond to overhead paging system, and radio.
• Complete floor care as scheduled.
• Must perform low and high dusting of assigned areas.
• Sweep exterior entry ways and walkways, clean exterior signs and plaques.
• Complete weekly checklist and submit to supervisor.
• Report broken items or equipment for repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Maintains 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks, which includes: hard floors, carpeted floors, removal of trash, complete low and high dusting programs. Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.

Please note this is an On-Call position. The pay rate is $23.76/hour + $5.20/hour H&W.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deep clean carpets and rugs
• Clean under raised floors
• Responsible for trash removal and cleaning of containers.
• Assures that all areas are cleaned as per daily schedule.

• Must perform low and high dusting of assigned areas, which includes but not limited to: vents, lights, telephones, desks, ledges, windows and furniture.
• Sweep exterior entry ways and walkways, clean exterior signs and plaques.

• Must use discretion when handling confidential materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with work schedules and company policies and procedures.
• Adheres to established “Universal Precautions/Blood borne Pathogen” standards.
• Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
