Job description

General Purpose:

Responsible for completing all janitorial duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

1. Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures.
2. Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean all ash trays and refill restroom dispensers.
3. Use and maintain vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
4. Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. USE AS DIRECTED.
5. Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

1. General janitorial experience.
2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
3. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
4. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised:

Works with minimal supervision.

Special Working Conditions:

1. Electrical equipment.
2. Work in dirty and dusty environments.
3. Bending/squatting is required throughout the day while mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
