Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a part-time Janitor in Portsmouth, VA to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

You will sweep, mop, dust, clean restrooms, collect trash, and follow safety guidelines as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks, and a valid Real ID; 5:00pm–9:00pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or at least six months of custodial experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility access credentials and/or pass background checks as required.
• Must have a valid Real ID for access to the work site.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using manual and powered equipment.
• Dust and clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, and metalwork.
• Clean windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and door panels.
• Maintain restrooms, showers, and washrooms; replenish supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash, waste, and recyclables.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
• Follow safety guidelines and use cleaning equipment correctly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to produce high-quality results.
