Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is looking for a janitor to maintain cleanliness and order across all serviced locations in Nashville, Tennessee. The role requires supporting a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas remain pristine and hygienic.
Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least six months experience in janitorial work. Good communication skills and the ability to follow protocols are essential to success in this fast-paced work environment.
Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of all buildings and worksites serviced by Flagship. Ensure all areas remain pristine by executing established cleaning procedures.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors using industrial vacuums and scrubbing machines.
Clean walls, ceilings, and dust covers; wash and polish light fixtures. Wash and replace blinds, move furniture, boxes, cabinets, and equipment to clean areas.
Remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors with appropriate cleaning solutions. Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow when required.
Handle waste: empty bins, replace liners, and maintain dust control on various surfaces.
Clean restrooms: empty waste baskets, wash and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals, disinfect floors, and refill dispensers.
Clean additional areas such as tables, vending machines, and kitchen countertops; perform periodic maintenance on vents, blinds, and interior glass.
Basic janitorial duties and responsibilities. Good listening and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak and understand English. Attentiveness to client needs. Punctuality and a neat appearance. Ability to work in small‑to‑large office environments.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
At least 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
Varied office and shop settings. Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and moderate noise levels. Safety glasses required for certain tasks. Fast‑paced work. Safety training provided by Flagship.
Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Perform repetitive motions such as reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds of equipment, tools, and trash. Requires clear vision, including color and depth perception.
