Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a Physical Ability Test (LCOPAT) and a background investigation.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and ability to meet testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents and maintain jail security.
• Respond quickly to calls for assistance and incidents.
• Prepare written reports after incidents and accurately count the jail population.
• Conduct thorough searches of individuals entering or housed in the jail.
• Ensure proper operation of security systems and jail equipment.
