Job summary

The Jackson Health Foundation is seeking a Development Manager to grow the One Day for Jackson annual giving program, building a donor portfolio and strategies to secure meaningful gifts.

You will collaborate with marketing, operations and medical staff to cultivate new donors, lead solicitations in the field, and represent the Foundation in community organizations and professional groups. This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of up to 100 donors with a goal of securing gifts of $2,500 and above.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and medical staff to identify and cultivate new donors for One Day for Jackson.
• Spend majority of time in the field identifying, cultivating, and building relationships with prospective donors, leading solicitations through to a closed gift.
• Act as an ambassador of Jackson Health Foundation in community organizations and networks.
• Adhere to moves management and documentation processes for cultivation and solicitation progress.

The JHF Development Manager supports the growth and expansion of the Foundation's annual giving program One Day for Jackson.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of up to 100 donors with a significant goal of securing gifts of $2,500 and above.
• Collaborate with colleagues including marketing, operations, and medical staff to identify and cultivate new donors to support One Day for Jackson.
• Spend the majority of time in the field proactively identifying, cultivating, and building relationships with prospective donors and partners, then personally leading solicitations through to a closed gift or commitment.
• Become an ambassador of Jackson Health Foundation in community organizations such as chambers and networking professional groups.
• Adhere diligently to the Foundation's moves management and reporting process on the cultivation and solicitation of donors, ensuring proper documentation of their progress.
• Assess the capacity of donors and prospective donors in order to secure cash gifts and pledges.
• Work collaboratively across the development team, contributing to a culture of shared success in cultivating gifts that serve both the donor's intent and the Foundation's mission.
• Work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Have reliable transportation, and able to use vehicle for event-related duties or as needed.
• Perform all other related job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Generally requires 1 to 3 years related experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.

Credentials

• Possession of a valid Florida Driver License and satisfactory driving record are required.
