Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Jack Operator at our Liberty facility (on-site) to safely move product in and out of coolers and designated areas using a jack. You will support production and shipping by picking, transporting, repacking, weighing, and staging product while keeping the work area clean and orderly.

The role requires ability to work 2nd shift in a damp, cold plant environment, with overtime as needed, and a willingness to perform maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand paperwork in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally with supervisors and coworkers.
• Must be trained or able to be trained to safely operate an electric jack.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working in damp, cold production environments.

Additional Compensation: $1.50/hr. shift differential

The Jack Driver is responsible for safely moving product in and out of coolers, freezers, and designated plant areas using an electric or manual jack. This position supports production and shipping operations by accurately picking, transporting, assembling, repacking, weighing, and staging product while maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The role also assists with daily maintenance tasks, special projects, and other duties as assigned to support safe, efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilitie s

• Safely move product in and out of coolers, freezers, and designated plant areas using an electric or manual jack.
• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and transported to the appropriate area.
• Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment.
• Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms using material handling equipment.
• Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested.
• Repack and weigh orders that require additional handling when necessary and report any quality variances.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks and assist with special projects as needed.
• Repair, install, and adjust machinery and equipment, including parts replacement and routine or preventative maintenance, as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the Supervisor.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This position is required to access and work within the poultry production environment. Team members must be able to tolerate varying heat, wet, damp, cold, and chilled conditions within the plant. The role requires constant walking throughout the plant while picking and delivering products, along with bending and standing for extended periods. Team members must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Hearing and eye protective equipment are required in production areas, and team members must wear hair and beard nets where required.
