Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Manual Heavy Lifter for our Acorn Facility in Virginia. This on-site, full-time position supports multiple departments in a fast-paced poultry production environment, including live hang, evisceration, debone, and packing tasks.

You will move product safely, follow PPE protocols, and help maintain smooth production flow. Qualifications include ability to lift 50–60 pounds repeatedly, experience in production or poultry processing, and a strong safety mindset.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

This role works in aproduction area processing poultry productand supports the movement, handling, and processing of product across assigned departments. The position may require working with live poultry, raw products, and/or cooked products in a fast-paced poultry production environment.

Typical assignments may include live hang, evisceration, debone, cut up, marinating, stack off, Polybag, Retail, Warehouse, and other production support areas. This role is impactful because it helpsmaintainsafe, efficient product flow and provides support where needed to meet daily production needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform repeated lifting, bending, carrying, and stacking.
• Related production, manufacturing, food processing, poultry processing, warehouse, palletizing, or general labor experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

Work is conducted primarily in a poultry production environment and may include exposure to live poultry, raw products, cooked products, wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces, dust, chemicals, and production noise. Team members may be exposed to temperatures ranging from 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, including ambient and 100% humidity conditions, and may handle product ranging from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Noise exposure may range from 50 dB to 110dB.

This role requires a variety of physical labor, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing forlong periodsof time, walking,liftingand carrying boxes, tools, equipment, and materials. Team members must be able tolift upto 50–60 pounds repeatedly and work safely in assigned production areas while using required PPE.
