Job summary

FabCorp Inc in Houston, TX seeks a Grinder to operate bench grinders and other finishing tools to finish and protect parts. This hourly, non-exempt role requires attention to safety and quality.

You will log work orders via barcode systems, move parts with a forklift, and help keep the shop clean and orderly while following company safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bench grinders and related tools.
• Ability to log in to work orders using barcode/computer systems.
• Demonstrated forklift operation and material handling.

Responsibilities

Job Title: GrinderReports to: Plant ManagerJob Type: Hourly-Non-ExemptSUMMARY: Operates bench grinders, hand tools and other equipment to finish and protect parts.REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES• Operates grinding equipment and wheelabrator to finish parts.• Applies oils and other protective coatings as specified or instructed.• Operates forklift to move pallets or containers of parts to various departments or areas of the shop.• Checks grinding equipment for usability and safe operation.• Cleans and maintains orderly work area.• Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.• Follow company safety & security guidelines• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.• Other duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
