Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Performance Test Architect with strong IVR testing expertise to lead performance engineering for large-scale customer interaction platforms. The role focuses on load modeling, capacity planning, and end-to-end performance testing to ensure highly available voice applications.

The position requires hands-on testing across Web APIs, microservices, and cloud environments, with experience in tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/performance testing with an Architect-level track record.
• Strong IVR testing experience and understanding of performance impacts.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
• Experience testing Web Apps, APIs, Microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
• Solid knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, SQL, Java/.NET architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience monitoring applications with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum; relevant certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise-wide performance testing strategies.
• Lead end-to-end performance testing activities for enterprise applications.
• Define performance test strategy, workload models, and test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks across app, DB, and infra.
• Collaborate with Dev, Architecture, DevOps, and business teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare performance reports and optimization recommendations.
• Provide tuning advice for IVR applications.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote best practices.
• Mentor junior testers and coordinate testing across teams.
