Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead in Charlotte, NC to drive performance engineering for enterprise applications. You will define strategies, model workloads, and lead tests across web, API, and cloud services.

The role requires leadership, deep expertise in modern testing tools, and collaboration with DevOps, architecture, and business teams to optimize performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• QA/Performance testing experience with leadership experience.
• Strong experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
• Experience testing Web, APIs, Microservices, and Cloud-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, SQL, Java/.NET architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience monitoring applications using Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
• Strong skills in performance analysis, capacity planning, and root cause identification.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end performance testing activities for enterprise applications.
• Define performance test strategy, workload models, and test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks across application layers.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, DevOps, and business teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare performance reports and provide optimization recommendations.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support best practices.
• Mentor junior testers and coordinate testing across teams.
