We seek a Registered Nurse with a BSN, PICC/IV expertise, and ability to perform ultrasound-guided insertions. Licensure in PA required; CRNI preferred. Orientation provides specialty training and opportunities for professional growth within a premier health system.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Experience preferred; orientation will cover specialty education.
• Basic computer skills, data entry on clinical documentation screens, email and internet.
• Ability to practice critical thinking and organizational skills.
• English language proficiency: speak, read, write and understand.

Responsibilities

• Insert and assess peripheral IVs in routine and challenging cases.
• Maintain peripheral IV catheter care and insertion per policies.
• Insert PICC and Midline catheters under ultrasound guidance.
• Assess and maintain central venous catheters and care for central lines.
• Serve as a consultant for physicians and nurses on IV therapy procedures.
• Educate staff nurses regarding IV therapy and long-term catheter care.
• Precept staff and new nurses needing assistance with vascular access skills.
• Educate patients and families about care and management of long-term catheters.
