Job summary

MedStar Health in Washington, DC, seeks a Clinical Nurse in IV Therapy to provide vascular access across the hospital. Responsibilities include placing peripheral IVs, inserting PICCs, and performing ultrasound-guided catheterizations, with involvement in training and research initiatives.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with the nursing team to deliver high-quality care. Requires DC RN license, BSN or higher, BLS, and C-EFM certification if Perinatal.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active DC RN License and BLS required.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with the nursing team and ensure quality care.
