Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Vascular Access Team to enhance patient experience during hospitalization. The VAT uses ultrasound-guided vascular access and autonomous, collaborative care to reduce pain and stress for patients.

The RN provides leadership, mentors staff, and participates in interdisciplinary care, employing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient plans while upholding safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license (or multi-state licensure via the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)).
• Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
• Preferred: 1+ years IV insertion experience, central line management, or guided ultrasound IV insertion.
