SpecialtyRx, Inc. is hiring an IV Pharmacy Technician to support the IV Manager in the Infusion Department. The role involves sterile compounding, dose calculations, and maintaining accurate IV records within a long-term care facility focused environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, current State/National Pharmacy Technician certification, and prior IV experience. The position offers varied shifts and opportunities for advancement within a team-oriented setting.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current State/National Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
• Previous IV experience required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Understanding of medical terminology, math, and analytical skills.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred (sterile compounding a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and fill IV orders, including mixing IV medications, calculating doses, and applying sterile compounding techniques.
• Send supplies and equipment to facilities as needed.
• Maintain accurate IV compounding and mixing records.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance checks on all equipment.
• Program infusion pumps accurately and safely.
• Enter data for all applicable IV orders.
• Order supplies from approved vendors.
• Complete technician assignments as directed by pharmacy management.
• Maintain IV pharmacy equipment and supplies in the equipment rental log.
• Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Follow and help enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in special projects focused on operational improvements.
• Collaborate with team members in a professional and productive manner while meeting departmental needs.
