PharMerica, Indianapolis, IN, is hiring a full-time Pharmacy IV Technician in a non-retail environment serving long-term care residents. The role focuses on sterile compounding per USP 797, data entry, QA, and coordination with nursing homes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• 6 months–1 year IV Pharmacy Technician experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience (desired)

Responsibilities

• Maintain Sterile Compounding Room per USP 797 and state standards
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents
• Support QA processes and ensure documentation compliance
• Assist pharmacists with data entry, refill coordination, and nursing home communication
• Stage and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain infusion pumps and sterilizing equipment
• Manage Emergency Drug Kits for long-term care facilities
• Package and track Alere shipments via third-party providers
• Support inventory, filing, phones, and workspace organization
• Collaborate with Lead IV Technician and Pharmacy Supervisor for safety and compliance
• Report operational or compliance concerns related to USP 797
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Pharmacist/IV Supervisor/Director of Pharmacy
