Job summary

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy supporting infusion services. The IV Pharmacy Technician will assist the IV Manager in daily infusion operations, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards. Experience with elastomeric pumps is preferred.

You'll perform IV mixing, equipment maintenance, inventory checks, and collaborate to improve client services while maintaining safety and compliance across shifts. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current State/National Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous IV Compounding experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, math, and analytical skills.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred, with sterile compounding experience being an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Filling IV orders, including mixing IV medications, and applying all necessary sterile techniques.
• Sending supplies and equipment to facilities.
• Maintaining accurate IV mixing records.
• Performing regular cleaning and maintenance checks on all equipment.
• Cleaning and Calibrating infusion pumps.
• Checking inventory and filling out supplies reorder form.
• Performing other tasks as required.
• Completing technician assignments as requested by pharmacy management.
• Maintaining all IV pharmacy-related equipment and supplies in the equipment rental log.
• Actively contributing to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting with ensuring safety policies and procedures are practiced and adhered to.
• Participating in special projects aimed at identifying and implementing operational improvements.
• Collaborating with others in a positive and productive manner, anticipating and responding to the responsibilities of the position.

About the Job

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

The IV Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the IV Manager in the daily operations of the Infusion department. Shift(s):

• 2:30pm-11pm Monday- Friday and Every other Weekend.

Qualifications:
