Job summary

Medwiz Pharmacy seeks a detail-oriented IV Technician to join our sterile compounding team. You will prepare intravenous medications for long-term care facilities, following USP 797 standards and strict safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, pharmacy technician training, and at least two years of sterile compounding experience, with strong attention to accuracy and documentation. You will collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely, safe delivery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy tech training preferred.
• CPhT certification a plus.
• Minimum of two years in sterile compounding.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparation and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and USP standards for sterile compounding.
• Effective communication and teamwork with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding: prepare sterile intravenous medications per protocols; accurate measurements, labeling, and documentation.
• Quality assurance: perform routine inspections and aseptic technique to prevent contamination.
• Inventory monitoring: track supplies, assist ordering, and record expirations.
• Compliance: follow regulations including USP 797 for sterile compounding.
• Collaboration: work with pharmacists and technicians to coordinate preparation and delivery.
• Patient care: ensure timely, safe delivery of IV meds to facilities and patients.
