PharMerica in Worthington, OH is hiring a full-time Pharmacy IV Technician. You will clean and monitor the sterile compounding room, prepare prescriptions for long-term care residents, and support QA processes to ensure compliance with USP 797.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, handling data entry, inventory tasks, and coordinating with nursing homes. We cover license fees for new hires and offer extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• 6 months to 1 year IV Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsabilités

• Clean, maintain, and monitor the Sterile Compounding Room in accordance with USP 797 and state standards.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents and Alere high-risk pregnancy patients.
• Support QA processes to ensure compliance with compounding and documentation requirements.
• Assist pharmacists with data entry, refill coordination, and communication with nursing homes and Alere clients.
• Stage, prepare, and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean infusion pumps and other sterile compounding equipment; ensure calibration and safety.
• Replenish and maintain Emergency Drug Kits for long-term care facilities.
• Perform shipping and tracking of Alere packages via third-party providers.
• Support inventory management, filing, and stocking in the IV department.
• Collaborate with Lead IV Technician and Pharmacy Supervisor to maintain safety and compliance.
• Report any operational or compliance concerns related to USP 797 standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Pharmacist, IV Supervisor, or Director of Pharmacy.
